On August 9, 2016, the Governor signed An Act Modernizing Municipal Finance and Government (the “Act”), which amends many laws related to municipal finance and governance.  The Act includes changes to three public bidding laws – M.G.L. c. 30B, M.G.L. c. 30, and M.G.L. c. 149.  The changes to the public bidding laws go into effect on November 7, 2016.

Paving

SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT HAMPDEN

Sealed bids for Paving are to be delivered to the Sheriff’s Department Hampden County Sheriff’s Dept., 627 Randall Road, Ludlow, MA 01056, and will be received until Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sheriff’s Department Hampden Purchasing Department, Room 252, and 627 Randall  Road, Ludlow, MA 01056.  all bids submitted must be clearly marked in the lower left hand corner of envelope, “RFR number 405, Paving, and Deadline: June 5, 2024, 2:00 PM”.

A site visit at Hampden County Sheriff’s Department, 627 Randall Road, Ludlow, MA is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Bidders must confirm attendance no later than Monday, May 20, 2024 at 4:00 PM by contacting Sharim Ramirez at 413-858-0112 and supplying name of company and persons attending.  Individuals may be required to present a valid form of identification upon arrival on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Questions concerning the RFR must be submitted in writing to: Sharim Ramirez, 627 Randall Road, Ludlow, MA 01056, [email protected] before 4:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2024.  Questions may be e-mailed.  Written responses will be e-mailed to all persons on file as receiving a bid package.

Written responses will be mailed or emailed to all bidders on record as having been issued the RFR.

Bidders should also include in their submission all additional forms that the vendor is directed to submit by the attachment “Sheriff’s Department hampden instructions to bidders” found in the specification package.

Bidding procedures and award of contracts will be in accordance with Chapter 7 Section 22, of the massachusetts General Laws, plus all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

The Sheriff reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids in total or in part as he deems to be in the best interest of the Sheriff’s Department Hampden and certifies under the penalties of perjury that this notice has been posted and advertised (if required) in accordance with the general laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in so far as the Sheriff has instructed the purchasing agent to make such postings and advertisements.
