Visitation Help – One-Time Password Code

Having trouble getting your One-Time Password (OTP) Code?

Some things to do

Give it a minute

Email delivery isn't always instant. If it's only been a minute or two since you requested your code, wait a bit longer and check your inbox again before troubleshooting further.

Check your spam or junk folder

Email programs sometimes route messages to the wrong folder.

  1. Open your email (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, or whichever you use).
  2. Look on the left side of the screen for a folder called Spam, Junk, or Junk Email.
  3. Click that folder and look for an email from Visit HCSO.
  4. If you find it, open it and use the code inside. You may also see an option to mark it as "Not Spam" so future emails go straight to your inbox.

Search your email

Most email programs have a search bar at the top of the screen. Try searching for any of the following:

When you find the email, confirm it's the right one: it comes from [email protected] and the subject line includes "Visit HCSO".

Check if you accidentally blocked us

It's possible our email address was added to your blocked senders list. If that happened, our emails won't reach you at all.

Look in your email settings for a section called Blocked Senders, Blocked Addresses, or Filters. If you see [email protected] there, remove it and request a new code.

Wrong email at signup?

If you accidentally mistyped your email when you signed up, the code was sent to the wrong address.

To fix this, request a new code using your correct email address (see How to request a new code).

Code might be expired

For your security, codes only last for a limited time. If you've been troubleshooting for a while, your code may no longer work.

If that happens, just request a new one.

How to request a new code

If your code is expired, lost, sent to the wrong address, or you just want a fresh one:

  1. Go to the login page.
  2. Enter your email address and submit.
  3. A new code will be sent to your email.

This works even if you just signed up for the first time. You don't need to register again. Just use the login page.

NOTE: Requesting a new code cancels any codes sent before it. Only the newest code will work.
